I owned and raced a 380 for a short time about 25+ years ago. Great bike. Accelerated like a jack-rabbit. Of course, I had a mechanic friend that kept it in one piece on a week-to-week basis while I did my best to tear it apart every weekend. Kicked ass on the stock Honda 350's I raced against. I vote to adopt the old Suzi.
Hope the full time re-build gig becomes a reality. Every man should be able to make a living doing what he loves.
